Not all water is created equal. I used to think tap water HAD to be safe, heck I even drank from the hose as a kid. Now I know how corroded these pipes can get over the years with lack of maintenance and our water has to pass through these! All that bacteria, sediment, heavy metals, actual feces... passing through these pipes to a water treatment facility then back through those same pipes and into my house?!
Even after the water makes it through these copper, lead or PVC pipes (which are probably 50+ years old) it goes to a water treatment facility which is adding fluorosalicylic
